I have had some nice opponents, playing rare strats

Ottoman FI + Revolution rush
&
French Doubble rax pikemen + French settler rush

Both was suprizingly strong and took around 40 min to win both games.

Well 40 min is quite long... best would be if u got a replay for that strat? (Not vs noob :-D )

Lol when anyone goes to the revolution age it = auto lose. The hussars have 700 health and 78 damn melee attack.
But i doubt those stragegy is even remotely effective to a decent player.

they just got imperial stats iirc... and you just have to hold him off, which means wall like crazy and just move around with whole base (if possible) until u manage to kill his army... then he is dead

Do not underestemate the value of doing something diffrent

I had pikemen & a few war waggons to fight spahi, and 3 culverins to pick of Great bombard... very useless when it instead comes hordes of colonial milita etc

Doubt you can hold them off long, enough. As they have like 10,000 food before they go to the revolution age. + the massive amounts of shipments they get.

well if they got that - then u sucked letting them do what they want =)

never let the enemie dominate the game or it's auto-loss (therefor i always play offensive)

That depends a civ like Dutch does'nt need map control I can have maxed eco and all buildings in a very small area without the need to invite the enemy to trim up the place ^^
